The Fridley Farmer : Fridley Community Gardens

I just found out that Fridley has garden plots available for rent. If you’re in Fridley they’re just $28/year, and the till them for you! They also include easy water access, trash bins and porta-pottys.

Garden plots are available to request starting two days ago (March 23) and I assume till they run out.

From description on the community gardens page, looks like this is the place.

Yep, that’s the place. My husband and I gardened two plots there for a number of years (pre-kid). Soil is fair to very good, depending on which plot you can get–some are more shaded than others. Nice and flat, however, and really nice for sprawling crops like cukes, etc. We planted corn several times and were happy with the results.

Tickled to find this blog as we live in the same subdivision as you and still do some backyard gardening. :)
